SPEAKER: Millie Garrison

Executive Director,

Humble Area Assistance Ministries

Millie Dawson Garrison moved to the Lake Houston area and joined Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) in 2001 as the Education Director. During her tenure at HAAM she has filled multiple roles and now leads HAAM as the Executive Director in a mission of “help & hope”. Millie is passionate about assisting individuals and organizations to reach their full potential.

Garrison earned her degree from the University of Oklahoma and CCE Studies in Prevention Services. She is a member of HR Houston and the Rotary Club of Humble Intercontinental, Strawbridge United Methodist Church, and a graduate of the inaugural Leadership Lake Houston program, she was recognized as a Woman of Achievement in the Lake Houston area. Millie currently sits on the Lake Houston Partnership Board (Chamber) and Chairs the Non-Profit Round Table Committee. Garrison has served on the National Charity League (NCL) Kings Trail executive board. She previously served as a board member for Journey of Faith Ministries and on the ACAM (Alliance of Community Assistance Ministries) Board of Directors. Millie helped establish the Community Response Task Force (CRTF) in 2005, serving the 59 North corridor.  In her current role as HAAM Executive Director, she also oversees two resale stores that provide direct funding for various social service programs. Garrison is married with two children and resides in Kingwood.

Masks are required for entry and must be worn at all times except at the table while eating lunch. We will be social distancing. Lunch will be served. You will be seated at tables of 4. Pre-payment is required.

Time: 11:30AM until 1:00PM.

Doors Open at 11:15.
